Attorney Rick Flugaur was recently elected to serve as President of the Community Foundation of Central Wisconsin, Inc. His term will start on July 1, 2017. Rick has been a member of the Board of Directors since 2013 and is currently a member of the Finance and Executive Committees. The Community Foundation was established in 1982 to help make the counties of Portage and Waushara better places in which to grow, to work, to play and to retire – by helping people, enhancing education, enriching arts and culture, contributing to wellness and improving the environment through financial management of gifts and grants from individuals and organizations. As of the end of the most recent fiscal year, the Foundation had over 18 million dollars in assets, and in 2016, gave back nearly 1.6 million dollars to the communities it serves in grants, scholarships, and other program services.
