Our client sustained severe neck injuries in an automobile collision that necessitated surgery. After several years of intense litigation, our client and the insurance company involved could not reach a settlement. Attorney Fuller proceeded to take the case to a jury trial in Portage County Circuit Court in order to obtain full compensation for our client for her medical bills, wage loss, past and future pain and suffering and for her permanent injuries. After a four-day trial, the jury awarded a verdict in the amount of $1.769 million for her damages. This was over $1 million more than the insurance company’s last offer to settle, which was made on the day before the trial started.
