Emeritus Attorney Maury Rice Awarded for His Service to Legal Aid

Emeritus Attorney Maury Rice has been awarded a Legislative Citation for his service to the Portage County Legal Aid Society (PCLAS). Attorney Rice was instrumental in the establishment of the PCLAS, 30 years ago. The PCLAS, is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing legal representation and assistance to those who cannot afford to hire an attorney.

Those in attendance included: members of the Anderson O’Brien Law Firm, members of the Portage County Legal Aid Society, Senator Patrick Testin, Representative Katrina Shankland, as well as Judges Baker, Zell, Molepske, and Fleishauer.

Attorney Rice retired from active law on January 31, 2001.
