Jocelyn Donahue-Renfert

Jocelyn Donahue-Renfert has joined our firm as an associate. Jocelyn was raised in Stevens Point and graduated summa cum laude from UW-Stevens Point with a degree in Accounting and Business Administration. She attended UW-Madison Law School and completed the Estate Planning Concentration with honors in 2022. While in law school, Jocelyn volunteered with a bankruptcy clinic through Legal Action of Wisconsin. She also worked at Scholz Nonprofit Law, LLC in  Madison,  where she assisted nonprofit organizations with start-up and legal compliance. Her areas of practice are real estate, estate planning, and business law.

Attorney Huebner works in the areas of Estate Planning, Real Estate, and Business Law. She was raised in Marinette, Wisconsin and attended Lawrence University in Appleton, Wisconsin for her undergraduate degree. Heather is a graduate of Vermont Law School, where she earned her Business Law Certificate and Masters in Energy Regulation & Law magna cum laude. During law school, she served as an active leader of the Business Law Society and helped community members overcome legal obstacles as a Clinician in the Institute for Energy and the Environment. Before coming to the firm, she returned to her hometown to assist clients with forming small businesses, transferring assets, and preparing estate plans. Community involvement is important to Heather and she enjoys partnering with local groups and non-profit organizations in Central Wisconsin. Heather works closely with her clients to guide them as they develop local businesses, settle estates, and prepare estate plans for their lasting legacy.

Steven H. Thompson, an associate at Anderson O’Brien, LLP, focuses primarily on Estate Planning, Real Estate, and Business Law. He was raised in Eagle River, Wisconsin and attended the University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh for his bachelor’s degree and the University of Wisconsin Law School for his law degree. Amy graduated with honors from UW-Stevens Point in 1992, and after eight years of professional experience in social work and family counseling, she earned her law degree from the University of Wisconsin. Amy is a Certified Elder Law Attorney and received her certification from the National Elder Law Foundation, which is the only organization approved by the American Bar Association to offer a certification in the elder law area. Becoming certified in elder law validates a lawyer’s specialty to handle issues that affect senior citizens. Her areas of practice include estate settlements, estate planning, special needs trusts, Medicaid planning and elder law. Special needs planning for disabled and elderly individuals has been a focus of her practice for the past several years.

Rick Flugaur has an undergraduate degree in accounting and graduated with honors from UW-Stevens Point in 1984. He continued his studies at UW Law School and graduated with his law degree in 1987. He is also a licensed Certified Public Accountant and is a member of the Wisconsin Institute of CPAs.

Having grown up working in a family business, Rick enjoys helping families with their business and succession planning needs. His practice areas include estate planning, business and personal real estate transactions, and general business law. He has helped clients address a wide range of issues including buying or selling a business, business formation, estate and business succession planning, and tax matters.
