| Our firm represents a large number of municipalities including towns, villages and cities. We also represent individuals who have issues which they wish to bring before a municipality for resolution. Representation includes the drafting, interpretation, and enforcement of municipal ordinances, as well as the interpretation for the municipality of the Wisconsin Statues which relate to the form of municipal government. |  |
We are prepared to attend municipal corporation meetings and to assist a municipality in conducting its meetings and handling the legal issues which may come forward as a result. We also review and draft municipal contracts for all areas of municipal responsibility, including construction projects, waste removal, employee relations, real estate purchases or sales and economic development. The firm has an attorney on staff who represents various entities with regard to employer-employee relationships including negotiation of contracts with municipal employees or unions.
The firm is prepared to provide advice and draft documents necessary for such matters as municipal exercise of eminent domain (condemnation) and the enactment and collection of special assessments. We have also been involved in representing municipalities with regard to the assessments which are appealed to the municipal Board of Review.
